Great fine dining italian/southern cuisine. Opened in the 1930s or so, been in same location ever since. Downtown restaurant right next to upscale downtown hotel. Located in mostly walkable downtown and is roughly ten or fifteen minute walk from Amtrak serviced station.
Just had dinner here! Enjoyed the private booths- nice wine list- and great service from Queen!!! Has the Caesar salad and fried oysters. We will come back!!
Took an hour and a half for room service when I was told only 45min. I had to actually get out of bed & leave out of room to go down to restaurant to see what was going. When I got down to the restaurant, it took 10-15 min to even speak with someone that worked there to ask about my food.. Terrible service.. Food was OK but seemed like it was thrown together . I don't know if they had a busy night, but I never will order from here again .

I am totally not understanding the great reviews. My opinion is it's a highly over priced mediocre restaurant. My $13 drink...disappointing at best. My $5.50 Caesar salad...was actually just not good by any standard. My $24 shrimp scampi with 4 shrimp.. was definitely the best thing I tasted. However the portion is ridiculously small and when the pasta was finally brought out nearly an hour and a half after ordering, I was asked if I would like bread. Bread was never offered in my hour and a half wait before the pasta came out and ironically was just never brought period. So to sum up, 2 hours for a drink, salad, pasta, and to pay. So again, I must reiterate I do NOT understand the hype!!!
